Finally back at it!

Travis and I have come to the conclusion that we just have to do something about our shrinking clothes. Could it be the soap we are using? Maybe the freezing weather is affecting the size of our clothes. Yeah, right!

Ok, so Travis and I have been a little delusional. We decided to really do something about our "incredibly shrinking" clothes dilemna. So, this week, we started going to the gym. The next part is a bit shocking, so steady yourselves. We get up at 4:50 AM! Yep, you read it right. That is the only time that we felt that we could consistently make it the gym. We have actually found that it works for us. I was 5 for 5 days.

This morning, I wanted to try something a bit different so I went to a Turbo Kickboxing class. I slept in and the class was at the reasonable hour of 10:30 so I assure you that am not completely crazy. It kicked my behind! I realized I had to overcome my fear of looking like a fool, but I am sure I looked the part. I must say though, it felt great! I already realize that I am going to feel it even more tomorrow.

I have also joined a Wellness Challenge at work. 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily plus 30 minutes of cardio 3 times a week is the goal. My friends know that I have a competitive streak. I am not competing against anyone but myself, but the competition helps me focus.

So, why am I really doing this? I look forward to being able to climb the Notre Dame without completely dying of exhaustion. I look forward to having more energy for the things I really want to do. I look forward to not having that aforementioned pesky problem of incredibly shrinking clothes. I look forward to enjoying sping/summer clothes. I look forward to being able to climb stairs without panting. And I can admit that I look forward to plain looking better.

I am changing my paradigm. Travis and I are gym people. We get up at 4:50 every morning and we go to the gym. That is just what we do.

You go girl!
I don't think I can actually pull that off, but I didn't know what else to say! You are almost motivating me!

SO happy to see a post from you too! Does this mean you will get punchy even earlier now? :)

Wow, 4:50 is so early--but I'm usually up at that time of day. I'm warm in bed trying to fall back asleep, but I'm up! Way to go on that goal, and for being 5 for 5. I am seriosuly impressed. I have to admit, Paris is a good reason to loase weight. I have a Paris weight loss goal in mind. I really want to buy some article of clothing while I'm there, and I don't want to have to buy big clothes!

Amazing! How in the world are you guys getting up that early? (and what time do you have to go to bed?) I am totally impressed, that is some super dedication.

Wow 5 for 5 days plus a turbo kickboxing class! You're out of control! I'm impressed and inspired. I want to feel good in Paris and be able to climb the stair of Notre Dame without wanting to die too. I just really don't want to get up that early!

Great job on the kickboxing. I went 4 times last week and got my butt kicked as well. I have come to terms with the mirror and the way I move in front of it. Everyone is watching themselves, right? That is what I hope anyway. I'm not near as sore this week, that's a good thing!.
